Brambleberry Farm
Brambleberry Farm is a small permaculture-based CSA and market farm with about an acre-and-a-half of garden beds with a fledgling fruit-tree based “food-forest” cradling the northern arc. We use sheet mulch on our beds and do not till them—all tools used in the garden are simple hand-tools. Thus we have a great model that can be applied to smaller home gardens without use of gas-powered machinery.

All of our plant offerings this year are in potted form. We may decide to offer some bare root stock more in the coming years as we refine our propagation techniques. Bare root nursery stock is certainly a great way to keep price lower, and saves precious greenhouse space. However, potted plants are much more stable for transporting and can be sold anytime. They can be planted at any time of the year, though extra watering and mulching need to be given if planting in the heat of the summer months. Thus, the sooner you plant them this spring, the better.
We can take email orders, but since we so seldom check email, we may not receive your order very quickly. At this time, we are not able to ship plants, but we are looking into it. Orders may be picked up at our farm in Paoli (one hour south of Bloomington) or we can arrange to bring group orders up to Bloomington at a coordinated time (such as the Permaculture Guild meetings). For an extra fee, we can special-deliver plants to you if you live within a reasonable distance.
