Buffalo Joes

<p>Try this traditional sloppy joe recipe with water buffalo meat. You will be glad you did! It is always a hit whenever we serve it to our farm guests.</p>

Ingredients
1 lb Water buffalo premium ground
1/4 cup onion, chopped
1/4 cup bell pepper, chopped
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp yellow mustard
3/4 cup ketchup
1 T raw honey (optional)
pinch sea salt & freshly ground pepper
1-2 T oil (coconut, olive, or ghee)

Step by Step Instructions
  1. Saute onions and bell pepper in oil over medium heat until soft (about 5 minutes).
  2. Add water buffalo ground, crumble with a spatula and cook until just brown. No need to drain.
  3. Add remaining ingredients, stir until well combined. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 25 minutes.
  4. Serve with a bun of choice or over fresh pasta, brown rice, or with steamed vegetables. Enjoy!
