Madison GA: The Market is Open!!!
See everyone Wed.!!!
Conway, AR: Opening Bell
Greetings Conway Locally Grown Community,
I hope everyone got some of that lovely spring rain last night and early this morning. Not officially Spring yet I suppose, but it sure sounded like spring rain with the frogs “peeping” away loudly all through the storm. I bet all our farmers will be frantically stuffing seeds in the ground very soon if they aren’t already! All of my farm-work experience has been in raising animals, not veggies, so I don’t know the excitement a gardener must feel this time of year. But I do know the excitement of watching your pastures swell with green and your animals grow fat, and I’m looking forward to it more than ever this year after last summer’s drought.
The market is now open. Go to the market webpage to place your order, single-click the checkout button when you are finished, and you should receive a confirmation email when your order is placed. Please check out the messages below from two of our producers.
Happy Spring planting everybody!
Message from Kenny at Drewry Farm and Orchards:
We are planning an “Open House” for April 13th, from 10am till 2pm, Kenny will show you around our small Farm just as he would for some of the educational tours we have throughout the year, tour the green house, Honey Bee yard and orchards, and see where our produce is planted, we can answer questions, and show you how to care for fruit trees, and plants, our farm store kitchen will be open with free samples of baked goods and other goodies, some plants, trees and other items will be available for sale. We look forward to visiting with you and have found it true that once a visitor always a friend !
Please RSVP to help us get a count on how many to expect. And please watch our Face Book Page for updates or need for rescheduling due to inclement weather.
Thank You !

Clemson SC: Just a Reminder To Order for Tuesday's Drop-off
It has been a beautiful weekend, and, if yu are like me, you have been outside and not sitting at the computer. So, when you do get back in, remember to put your orders in for this week.
We have WheatGrass for those of you who would like it for spring decorations or juicing, or green smoothies. It is a cut-and-come again container of live green food chock full of chlorophyll, vitamins, and minerals. We build live cells with living food, and what can be more lively than something still growing? My indoor cats enjoy munching on their own container of wheat grass, and the chickens go crazy over it. Get all the benefits of live food when you order a pack od wheat grass, snip some off and let it re-grow for another round.
Another live food is green garlic. Garlic is great for warding off colds and vampires, and green garlic is freshly dug just for you. You can crush it in the garlic press, or just thinly slice or finely chop and all to soups and salads. Because Green garlic is fresh, it naturally is packed with live nutrients, too!
started pea plants are available too, and can go outside afer a few days of conditioning. They have been grown outside in an unheated greenhouse this week,
Soon it will be time to plant the cool weather brassicas, and we are busily starting those for you in case you didn’t. Here’s hoping you have a fantastic day and that you find our choice of fresh winter greens and sustainable protein pleasing to your palate! We love being able to provide this farm-to-table experience for you!

Rivervalley.locallygrown: Rivervalley Market Open
This is just to remind you that this market is like most markets (Selling websites), it never really closes. There just needs to be a period when an order can’t be placed since the producers must know what to assemble for delivery to a Friday pick-up. Items (baked) ordered from Stutzman’s pantry must be cooked before delivery is to be made so they have requested that they be notified on Wednesday morning as to what has been ordered for the week.
As we enter to the growing season, the practice of keeping the market open continuously may need to be changed. If this happens you will be notified so you can plan accordingly.
Have a joyous ordering period.
