Coffee Jelly

Ingredients
1 tablespoon Unflavored gelatin powder
OR agar-agar (to make the recipe vegetarian)
1/4 cup Water
2 cups Strong black coffee
2 tablespoons Sugar
Whipped cream (optional)

Step by Step Instructions
  1. Mix the gelatin and water together in a bowl.
  2. Heat the coffee and sugar in a saucepan over medium-high heat until nearly boiling, then turn off the heat and mix in the gelatin mixture. Set the mixture aside to cool for 10 to 15 minutes.
  3. Pour the cooled gelatin mixture into a shallow baking dish and refrigerate for 5 hours.
  4. Cut the jelly into cubes and if desired serve topped with whipped cream
